Casual IT Support

VoIPex offers the casual support options listed below. Onsite support will see one of our technicians go to your premises and perform the agreed upon work. For Workshop support you can drop your device into the VoIPex offices, or have one of our technicians pickup the device. For Remote support one of our technicians will remotely access your computer and provide the agreed upon work.

Terminology

Service Types
Reactive - There is no monitoring of your systems or network. All work is carried out when a fault or issue is reported.
Pro Active - VoIPex support staff actively monitor your network and devices and apply updates as they become available as well as resolving issues or faults that may arise.

Onsite Support - One of our service technicians will go to your site to resolve issues and faults. Where the fault or issue cannot be resolved onsite our technician may require the device(s) be taken back to our workshop for further troubleshooting. Sites which are greater than 20km (road distance) from our offices will incur an additional fee of $2 per km over 20km.

Phone Support - One of our service technicians will assist you with resolving your fault or issue over the phone. All Phone Support calls are billed in the increment associated with the support plan. Enquiry or onsite booking calls where a description of the issue or fault is provided to our support staff are not classified as Phone Support calls.

Remote Support - One of our service technicians will remotely access your computer or server in order to resolve any issues or faults. Remote Support requires that the customer have a Microsoft Windows based PC connected to a fast broadband internet service. Remote Support requires that remote access software be installed on your PC. Where there is no remote access software available on your PC our staff may request that you install remote access software.

Offsite Backup - Offsite Backup involves a backup device being collected by one of our staff and stored in a secure offsite location. We use a rotation storage policy which is where one backup devices is stored on the customers site and one or more are stored in a secure offsite location. The customer is required to provide the backup device(s). Backup Devices can be purchased through VoIPex. The options available for Offsite Backup are:
Monthly - A single backup device is collected and replaced (rotated) once a month.
Fortnightly - A single backup device is collected and replaced (rotated) every two weeks.
Weekly - A single Backup device is collected and replaced (rotated) every week.
Extra Backup - The Monthly, Fortnightly and Weekly offsite plans rotate only two backup devices. You can add more backup devices to the rotation policy for $10 per device per month.
